I was raised in a very conservative religious group that gave us a strict mantra on how to live our lives. The emphasis was on prayer, education, and a non-artistic/no-enjoyment methodology. I knew from an early age that I loved creating and being artistic but it was all frowned upon; in most cases outlawed. I am thankful I had a dad who is very creative and who went out of his way to help me foster that feeling. I was pushed to law school, against my wishes, and found it extremely challenging (I really wanted to be an engineer). I graduated law school in 2006 and worked for a law firm for about 5 years and then switched to management in the corporate world for the next 10 years.

I started sining in July of 2019 when a bandmate kept after me to take singing lessons. I had joined the band to play harmonica. I started singing lessons with Sean Buhr at VS Music Studios out in Orange County, CA on my birthday just before the pandemic and my life was turned upside down. After a couple years of weekly lessons, I realized I had finally found that one thing that makes me more excited than anything I had tried before; except for the woodworking I did in high school and college. After 4 years of lessons, and amazing experiences singing for people, I realized I had no choice but to quit my corporate job and pursue singing full time. I moved to Nashville in the summer of 2024 and have started creating a local business that includes singing for funerals, weddings, parties, celebrations, ceremonies, occasions, etc.

In addition, I also rediscovered my love for writing that I had lost in law school. I started wringing songs, poems, short stories, etc. I have begun to put out originals on all major music platforms and that has brought a new life satisfaction I never knew.
